Graduated from USC School of Cinema-Television (1992) Originally did not want to cast Scott Wolf in Go (1999) because Katie Holmes was already in the movie, and he did not want the movie to star two TV actors. However, he saw him talking in a hallway with Jay Mohr and realized that the chemistry between the two would be good in the movie. As of 2001, Doug Liman is the Vice Chairman of HYPNOTIC. Graduated in same high school class with actor/director Charles Herman-Wurmfeld. Lives in Tribeca area of Manhattan. Doug Liman's father, Arthur L. Liman, was one of the prosecutors in the Iran-Contra Affair. (in the Bourne Identity Liman portrays a likewise agency within agency...) Got to read the script for Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) for the first time on the set of The Bourne Identity (2002), but rejected it. Brad Pitt then gave it to him for a second time after Liman had finished The Bourne Identity (2002).
