Pleasant movie for both Eminem fans and anyone who cares about movies 'n music.
I've always liked Eminem as a rapper 'n lyricist and been sure he can make a real good actor (if u have watched his videos, u know what im talkin about).
I'm happy that I finally got a chance to watch 8 Mile. No matter u like rap or not, its a good movie about a young boy trying to live individually and plannig to make an up-level living.
Eminem performance is really good and the movie, like Eminem character and his songs in the real life, has something to say.
Does anybody knwos why Eminem was not present at The Academy Awards ceremony to receive his Oscar for Lose Yourself song? -

If you love music, you would love this film. Eminem portrays the life of musician truly with his heart but the failure falls when you tries to analyze too much about his family.

Why hasn't Eminem done more movies after this? You know, unlike most other rappers that find their way into movies, Slim Shady can actually act. I wish I could convince M to do more movies. What's up, Marshall? You're not interested in acting anymore? I like to believe that you still are. Please, do another movie. I've been waiting, like, forever... I also have to commend Curtis Hanson for doing a good job with something this different.

Eminem is a great actor in his semi-autobiography. With this and all his music, you can really see how stressful his life was. Plus, this sparked the best-selling rap song in history.

I did see this because of the pop culture surrounding him at the time, though I was never a fan. It did give me good insight into his life, and I found that to be of some benefit in talking with kids, but the movie itself was overall not really worth seeing and I would not recommend this to anyone

I thought Eminem did a great job as acting it had a simple storyline and the setting of the plot was pretty good not all about hip hop and rap it did have a good dramatic side to it but i really thought Eminem did a great job.
