My favorite Christmas movie. This movie is one that you and your family will watch over and over again every year at Christmas time. This movie will make you want to listen to Little Orphan Annie and make you want to run out and buy a bb gun.

Maybe it's a bad idea to watch this type of movie before the winter season has even begun, but I just couldn't help myself, as I had been wanting to see this for quite some time. Now that I have, I was neither disappointed nor very enchanted by it. It may not be as good as other movies of its sub-genre, like Christmas Vacation or the first two Home Alone flicks, but it's definitely a decent family movie, that is harmless enough to be viewed by anyone. It could have done without the slightly annoying voice-over though, because I think it ruined more than it helped the story.

this is one of the most wonderful movies ever made, holiday, or otherwise!
every character is real!!!
we quote this movie all year round!!
and it plays for 24 hrs straight, every christmas eve, and its always on in the background, on christmas, and christmas eve!
the remote gets put away, for those 24 hrs, and the channel doesnt change!
dont have many holiday traditions, but thats one of em!! -

Easily my favorite Christmas movie of all time. Everybody has that one movie that they have to watch at Christmas time because its tradition. This is that movie for me. Everything is perfect in this movie from the narrator, to Ralphie, to his old man, to Scut Farkus, to yes of corse Ralphie's need to own an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two hundred shot range model air rifle, with a compass in the stock. Genius!

RAARARARA RA RA RA RA!!!!! A Christmas Story is the greatest christmas movie ever about a wannabe kid wants a bb gun and has the wildest imagination and gets a bunny suit for christmas!!!! LOL movie!!! 5/5

The BEST Christmas movie ever made as far as I'm concerned, especially if you are from the Midwest. It's based on a book of short stories, and some of the scenes are just outrageously funny.

A Christmas Story completely succeeds at its purpose: telling a simple, lighthearted story of nostalgia and childhood mirth. For my money, the quintessential holiday classic.

One of the most endearing and nostalgic movies ever. I wasn't even born during the time this movie portrayed, but the narrative is so compelling that I feel like I am Mikey. My Christmastime is somehow lessened if I don't get around to watching this movie.

This movie is hilarious. All poor Ralphie wants for Christmas is a Red Ryder BB gun. All he hears from everyone is.. "You'll shoot your eye out". If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it
