Plot:
For Bobby Darin, performing was his life. It kept his heart beating. He came alive onstage, even when he was near collapse offstage. From the age of seven, Walden Robert Cassotto--Little Bobby knows t...( read more

I loved the music and Spacey did great as the all-around guy (actor/singer/director)! I hope he get's a chance to direct again...I'd like to see more work as such!
An excellent bio pic. Adding to the realism is Kevin Spacey's singing, channeling Bobby Darin through his performance much as Jaime Fox did for Ray.
This was a pretty good movie. I was hesitant to watch it, but I ended up liking it. Spacey did a terrific job and sang all the songs himself.
My girlfriend was right about this movie. It was better than Ray, and a hell of a lot better than Walk the Line (personal reasons). I would say that it definitely falls in the same category. I don't know hardly anything about Bobby Darin. So I can't say much about weather or not he was done justice, but I do remember his songs from growing up. Kevin Spacey does do a fine job with this movie, very respectable. Ultimately, I was not super impressed though, as it seemed to follow the typical storyline for movies about famous musicians. The rise and fall of stardom, the struggles, etc. Just sick of the norm.
I have so much more respects for Kevin Spacey after this movie. It's the correct touch, correct tone, and perfect way of telling Bobby Darin's story. One of my fav biographical film.
Well-acted but poorly directed. Not surprisingly, an actor starred in and directed this film. Seemingly informed by its protagonist, the film struggles a lot and has significant flaws but comes off as generally entertaining in spite of them.
Kevin Spacey is Bobby Darin. He must of really loved making this film, taking on the role of director as well. Another biography film of a successful musican, showing the tough times he had to encounter and how his whole life was in fact a miracle.
PERFECT! One of the few biographies I've enjoyed watching... it's lovely, musical, funny, touching and dramatic. One of my favorite movies ever!
I've never been a big Bobby Darin fan and the script was marginal. Kevin Spacey's phenomenal acting & singing performance is what made this worth watching.
Spacey gets 4 stars for acting, singing and directing this tribute to Bobby Darin. The remaining star goes to Peter Cincotti's small but delicious role as musical director, Dick Behrke. I'm biased, so sue me.
Kevin Spacey fades out and you really believe you are watching Bobby Darin, himself. He does a great job of singing the songs. As well as the acting
While Kevin Spacey acts, sings, and dances his ass off, the film is too convoluted and many of the musical numbers seem out of place. Its enjoyable the first time, but afterwards it leaves you with a bad impression. Too many plot elements are haphazard, and its hard to tell just how we are supposed to be seeing whats going on. Honestly, to get the best experience you can from this film, just listen to the soundtrack album, since Spacey is actually pretty damn good at singing Darin's songs.
Strongly recommend this movie. Kevin Spacey does an amazing job at playing Bobby Darrin - I strongly recommend the soundtrack for this movie as well, again Kevin Spacey outdid himeself by singing all the songs (and very well might I add)!!
totally awesome, and Kevin Spacey is so believeable as bobby darin that you don't even think of it as being him.
Kevin pacey does an awesome job of portraying Bobby Darin. Though musical type movie are usually not my taste in movies, this was an excellent movie. Learned things I never knew about Bobby Darin.
Spacey shouldve been nominated for this role...he is amazing and the fact he had to audtion for Sandra Dee to get the role says volumes of his performance...i love this movie...
An interesting movie; I don't really remember much of the plot or anything, but the dude had a nice singing voice, and I liked the songs throughout the movie and all that stuff. I remember it being interesting and kinda fun. But that's really all I can say, not remembering anything else about it.
Not exactly Kevin Spacey's best performance but solid none the less. Interesting film about the life of Bobby Darin. If your a fan I'd say it was probably necessary to watch this movie. The music is fantastic and Kate Bosworth is brilliant as Sandra Dee. Overall it is a great movie.
great movie with actual great music....Incredible performance by Kevin Spacey...he did great acting, dancing, and singing.....i liked how u had a concept that he still thot of himself as when he was a child and i liked how it showed that...Kate Bosworth did great too playing as Sandra Dee---The whole cast was wonderful and u saw Bobby Darin go through his ups in his life to his downs....the ending was Incredible andwhen thaey showed his last song of the night, it set a sadder tone kind of making u think that he was going to die with his heart problem....but then when he saw the younger version of himself and a happier tone set in when they did a duet.....i liked that at the ending when the movie tells u that he is still living with Sandra Dee and making wonderful music and all that stuff---that was great because if u kinda know the real story it makes it even better!!!! i really reccomend it for people that like sumwhat musicals and great movie with great performances!!!!!
I had low expectations, but it was a good pic. Thing is, it started off better than how it ended up. It started off magically, and then got real and uninteresting. However the ending tries to catch up with that feeling, and I think that's important. Spacey was breath-taking, he BECAME Bobby Darin in every possible way. It's a good movie.
