If you know me... then you know that I am a real sucker for love stories, anything that can emotionally move me and make me feel like I want a big long hug from someone is a winner.
This movie came out and I wasn't sure what to think of it by its trailer. I had the time so I watched it. Let me tell you that girls and guys if your afraid to cry in front of the one you love, this is not the movie to watch with them..
It may just be my personal opinion but the thought of the one you love dying is the most hideous thought ever! and this captures both the beauty of relationship with the heartbreaking thoughts and memories that Hillary Swank's character has to go through. -

For those guys fortunate enough to have found their soul mate,I would hope you`re as in love and as romantic as Gerard Butler.He may seem a bit too perfect but with the right woman in your life,I believe you`ll be able to move mountains.One of the best love stories I`ve seen.Very sad but uplifting too.Makes you believe in true love,no matter what barriers are in your path.

MCT:September 30, 2008way too depressing and soppy for me! i cant put my inger on it but there was just something missing! hilary swank didnt seem very believeable in her role and gerard butler, well he looked pretty but that was about it. i loved the idea behind the story though and i just felt really let down tbh ='[

I read the book and watched the movie.When I watched this it was simply amazing."Get Ready for your tissue papers", they say!I cried so much while watching this.The letters or should we say 'The List' was amazing.....for every month that was left in the year before he died.....................I LOve THIS!!!!!!Highly Recommendeed!Watch This!

A sweet and sad story with a great deal of Ireland makes this movie good.And its not bad to watch Gerard Butler for an hour or two!And Hilary Swank is really good and pretty in this movie.Everyone in this movie is good.Its a hard story to melt though, just sad that love hurts..

One of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. I love it all, the plot, the actors, the cinematography... but the movie is so different from the book that it really pisses me off. Well don't get me wrong I love the movie but it could have been much better if they didn't cut so many important scenes of the book and changed so much things about the characters, Even Holly's mother has a different name, William doesn't exists in the book, Daniel is an important character and the movie he is just a idiot guy! I recommend to all the people who watch the movie to read the book and compare because if you like the movie like I do you'll love the book, trust me.

It was so lovely, I cried pathetically, so if you're in the mood for a sob fest, go for this one! Not the world's biggest Hillary Swank fan, but she pulled it off alright :) I thikn it was a little predictatble but ignoring all that, it's a great romantic film!

This was a wonderful movie. It moved me more than a lot of movies I've watched. I had rented this but have now bought it and the book the movie is from.

A movie that will make you laugh out loiud and almosy cry at times. NOT just a chick flick, my hubby of 30 years enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm NOT a huge chick flick movie, and not a huge romance movie watcher. But this equals "Ghost", "City Of Angels" and "Away From Her" in love story movies. And I do love Hillary Swank, may not be the most beautiful actress,(as another viewer commented on) but a very gifted and talented one. Her beauty shines from with in!
