MCT:November 23, 2008A prime example of a film which has far more going on than meets the eye. The fact that it will be eternally known as the film where the Cruise dances around in his undies amuses me.
Paul Brickman has done a grand job marrying together a teen sex comedy with a darker satire on capitalism, it's very clever stuff. The dialogue is spot on, the soundtrack is superb and the cast are spot on. Outside of Tom and Rebecca, we also get stellar turns from Joe Pantoliano as Guido the killer pimp (great character) along with Curtis Armstrong and Bronson Pinchott who pretty much steal every scene that they are in.
Witty, clever and very funny in places, this is 80's gold. -
MCT:November 13, 2008It is fun, not too much to ask for, but better than most teenager movies this way. And Tom Cruise is young. So young it doesn't look like him at all.

Great movie,Tom Cruise is awesome in this movie. I love the scene where he dances to the song "Rock and Roll" in this underwear!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!! :-)
