I thought this was a pretty good movie,I had read alot of mixed reviews before watching this and wanted to judge for myself,I quite enjoyed it to tell you the truth,it was so oddly interesting it held me all the way through, for some reason I wanted to see what the next crazy person's action was going to be,lol. It just made the thing before it seem almost normal.Anyway I thought it was pretty good, definitely worth a watch.=)

The previews were deceiving; this is nothing like I expected it to be. Everyone is either gay, crazy, or both. And there's very little humor to be found. A big disappointment.

Comedy Drama based on the memoirs of a fifteen year old boy struggling to cope with his Bipolar, poet mother whose marriage is falling apart. During all the chaos the boy, Augastine, gets taken in and adopted by his mother's doctor whose got quite an interesting family of his own!A really interesting story that is at times thought provoking, dramatic and funny.Brilliant performance by Annette Benning as the bipolar, poem writing mum to.

Great acting by all except the overrated Genwith Paltrow. It's like she phoned in her preformance. But I thought it was a very intresting movie.

Augusten Buroughs is wonderfully brilliant. I hope they interpreted the book on screen appropriately. The cover makes me giggle alone, so we shall see.
