De Palma's hymn to gangster excess,(violence, swearing,
white suits)is taken to even further heights by Al Pacino on barnstorming form.It is also the de rigueur favourite film of any premiership footballer.
My favorite movie of all time ! This movie really is the most perfect movie that i have ever seen! I dont even like movies about drugs, but this story has something special, something unique. Afterall its Oliver Stone who wrote the movie.
Directing: Brian DePalma did an excellent job on this movie, even tho he got nominated for a razzie for this movie. He did more then perfect, the atmosphere in this movie is top, you can feel the luxery, the trouble he has, his anger, the love....
Acting: Offcourse this is one of the many reasons why Pacino is my fav. actor of all time. I never saw a better performance in my life than this one. All the supporting actors where great to, only i have my doubts about Elizabeth Mastrantonio (tony's sister)
Score: Very fantastic score to by Giorgio Morodor, i like all the theme's in this movie. expecially the one who was used for Gina and Elvira, without this score it would have been a total diffrent movie.
at the time this movie came out there was no better actor out there to play the role of Tony Montana than the great Al Pacino.
this is a remake of the 1932 film directed by Howard Hawks and still keeping the same title. Scarface shocked audiences with it's strong use of language, bloody voilence, sex references and hard drug use.
this was the best gangster movie ever to of come out in the 1980s and maybe this is the best gangster film of all time. this is a masterpeice of a film from director Brian DePalma. the like the tagline for this movie : Say hello to my little friend , Scarface is also my favourite film of all time.

After years of diplomatic silence between the United States and Cuba, Castro opens the port of Mariel Harbor, Cuba, to thousands emmigrating to the United States in search of the American dream. Shrewdly, Castro also unlocks the overpacked prisons, allowing hordes of criminals to join the refugees. Tony Montana, a small time hood, is one of them. In Florida, Montana connects with gangster Frank Lopez, and guns his way through the sun washed streets of Miami where he finds power, wealth and passion. He kills Lopez and marries his mistress, Elvira. Montana, better known as "Scarface," soon becomes the leader of a bloody cocaine-smuggling empire but at a terrible cost to his sister, Gina and his loyal friend, Manny. However, like that of others before him, Montana's reign is brief and a violent end is guaranteed as rival gangster compete to become the next drug lord.
I remember the first time i watched Scarface. In that day,i considered to be one of greatest movies i ve ever seen in my life(and of all time,of course).Al Pacino deserves the title of the greatest actor alive. His role as the pshycotic and rutless cuban gangster Tony Montana is perhaps the best of his brilliant carreer.I truly love Montana ´s rise to power and his dreadfull downfall because we can see what greed and lust of power can do to your life.Brian DePalma created a amazing, brilliant and bloody masterpiece and the best gangster movie of all time alongside The Godfather and Goodfellas.Scarface teached me a very important lesson:Your own greed can become your own destruction.
Scarface made a huge impact on me.Truly one of the greatest movies of all time.
This movie its awesome and you can learn from it ... to made it in this world you gotta be like Tony, but you need to know when to calm down
yall mutha fukers r fake inone of yall r even close 2 being like scarface like me
Now I know why the famous scene from "ScarFace" makes it a classic film. What can you say about "Al Pacino" only that his acting in this film is astonishingly brilliant and amazed me the whole course of the film. I hope he got an Oscar for his role as Tony Montana because he made this movie a hit and will forever be top of the list in classic gangster films. The particular cast was also great though I felt "Michelle Pfeiffer's character was just kind of there. Her character needed to me more in depth and show exactly what happened to her. She just sort of disappeared without a trace. Ironically enough this film came out the year I was born and I can't believe it has taken me this long to watch this classic, straight to the point cut throat movie.
