Lots Of New Voldemorts In Next Harry Potter Movie

Everyone knows that when it comes to the Harry Potter movies, nothing is minor. At least as far as the fans are concerned. I mean, these are people who are still complaining about Daniel Radcliffe's eyes being blue, instead of green like Harry's are in the book. I am not embarrassed to admit I am one of those people.
So, anyway, while it may seem totally inconsequential that an actor you've never heard of has been cast as one of the young Voldemorts for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, for the Potter nuts, that's huge! And it's even a little weird, based on the story reported by Harry Potter fansite Snitch Seeker, because two different actors have been cast as the 16-year-old and 18-year-old versions of Tom Riddle, the young wizard who later grows up to be Voldemort. Yup, a two-year age difference is enough to merit casting two different actors, both of whom will only be seen in brief flashbacks. You can't say the Harry Potter folks aren't thorough!
As if that weren't good enough, Snitch Seeker also has the first photos of the kid who will be playing 11-year-old Voldemort, a British actor named Hero Tiffin. Don't be fooled by the angelic visage you see in those photos! He may be adorable now, but 11-year-old Tom Riddle not only tortured his fellow orphans, but he also grew up to be Voldemort! The most evil wizard who ever lived!
OK, even I can admit most of this stuff doesn't count as news. But it does serve to help me see past all the summer movie hype and get pumped for Half-Blood Prince, which is coming out right before Thanksgiving. While Prince was among my least favorite Potter books, any new Harry Potter movie is a cause for celebration. If you'll excuse me, I'll be over here, practicing how to draw the perfect lightning-shaped scar on my forehead.
